How to Join Our Sixth Form
Pathways to Success at Fakenham Sixth Form
There are two pathways students can follow when studying at Fakenham Sixth Form.
The pathways below indicate the typical entry requirements on each pathway, however, the entry requirements may be altered based on a student’s circumstances.
Pathway A: A Level (Level 3)
Students who achieve five or more 4-9 grades will complete three A Levels/ Level 3 BTECs and an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), over two years. Alongside these students will also attend registration, Supervised Study, Future Skills lessons, and Enrichment. Some students may achieve grades 4-9 and therefore meet the entry requirements for Level 3 study but may not have gained a grade 4 in English or Mathematics. These students will complete 3 A Levels/ Level 3 BTEC and a GCSE resit in English or Mathematics.
Pathway B: Level 2 Access Pathway
In previous years we have offered a Level 2 Access Pathway for students who gain grades 3 at GCSE to improve GCSE grades and develop skills needed to move on to a Level 3 pathway. We are currently reviewing our level 2 provision and will confirm whether we will be able to offer a Level 2 Pathway once the government
have finalised the curriculum review.
