Dress Code

Dress Code and Appearance

Fakenham Sixth Form strives for excellence and has high expectations of our students. This not only applies to learning behaviours but also appearance. The Sixth Form is a place to work and study therefore the attire of students should reflect this. This should promote a positive learning environment and prepare young people for the world of work.

The following is considered to be inappropriate dress of the Sixth Form:

  • Tops that have thin straps, show the midriff or are backless

  • Low cut tops and tops which expose the midriff

  • Flips flops and shoes with a high heel

  • Short skirts/dress/shorts above mid-thigh

Fakenham Sixth Form staff have the right to decide whether an item of dress is inappropriate for the Sixth Form. Students who do not follow the dress code or present themselves inappropriately may be asked to go home to change.
